The weekend was still filled with a lot of this:
All of the holiday celebrations meant that The Husband and I spent a lot of time on the road. Spending lots of time on the road leaves plenty of time for this:

In the midst of the holiday celebrations, we managed to try breakfast at one of my favorite Minneapolis dinner locations, Muddy Waters. I was really disappointed not to see the Breakfast Quesadilla on the restaurant menu after seeing it online, but they quickly distracted me with the Breakfast Pizza. Full disclosure, I rarely meet a pizza that I don’t like. But this one was really good, especially with the veggie chorizo and shots of sriracha that I added. Who says you can’t have pizza for breakfast?

The Husband opted for the Breakfast Poutine and called it, “All of my favorite things in an orgy of calories and cholesterol.” I’m pretty sure that means he loved it:

After all of the holiday revelry, we were ready to say farewell to Christmas. The Husband helped pack things up at home so we could reclaim our living room and look forward to a new year. We had a little help from our favorite teenage devil:
Now, if we could only finish the last of the Christmas cookies….
Your Christmas tree gif makes me happy. One of my friends is coming to visit in less than three weeks. He’s going to teach me how to knit. I’m so excited! Maybe then I will understand what I’m looking at when I see straight and curvy needles with all these lovely colored stitches on them.
I’ll help! Bring those needles when you come back in January! 🙂
Heidi, I will be back next week! Before I have needles or my first lesson. I was thinking about bringing crocheting, but I’m going to be pretty packed with photography gear.
There’s always room for yarn. I’ll give you a lesson when you’re here. 🙂
Yay! I would love to see you when I’m back!
Let me know your schedule! We’ll have a knitting date!
